i discovered a "disturbing" trend -- those who i'm (or have been) rather close with would at one point in our friendship be jobless...
i lost my job together with tab and she was bumming around a bit longer than i did before embarking on her ministerial path (this sounds so lofty :D) which i think she had been inclined toward but never really explored;
i remember starting to chat with chongy after she gave up her first job, and we got closer when i lost mine (again!), and then she went jobless for the 2nd time before miraculously (yeah i would call it that!) landing on her academic path which she has always sought;
and jazz who has been in her new job for less than a year when her company decided that they can't sustain the biz, about three months back (a little advice here -- don't join startups if financial security is a concern -- most won't work out) and after a good long break with nary a day where she's nothing to do (she's always out and about), she's now just signed off an offer letter! all the best, girlfriend. :D
ok, my memory might have been selective when i did this list, but that's a whole lot of soul searching hours there among us. hehe. for some of us, it was an excruciating period, for some, a much needed break, but for all, a time to stand back and review the years that was and deciding the next move.
so there, you have been warned: being friends with me might cause you to lose your job. proceed with caution! :D
someone else has indicated that they will join this list. be strong, my heart.
someone else has also indicated that they would love to join this list as they hated their job. the person would love to be my bff. :D
