my Bersih 3.0 experience

i enjoy reading more than i do writing, and i've really enjoyed reading all the personal experiences of those who went (or didn't go) to Bersih last Saturday.. i don't think i have anything extra to add (other than that one other piece i wrote before this, and that it was a really good experience that I cherish) so imma just let a few of my pics do the talking :)

(a quick digression here: i failed to get the second round of Russell Peters tickets. it was just not. meant. to. beeeee.. boo hoo!)

Check list! Got it off the Internet, wrote it down in my notebook, just in case.

My Bersih kit, minus the water.

The hubs and I.. aiyor, both of us sooo chubby! ^__^

Both of us didn't have yellow shirts, so we pakat-ed to wear green instead. Thadd and I rode the bike and parked at Sri Petaling station, while Jaz parked her car at Bukit Jalil station. Took the train down to KL and stopped at Plaza Rakyat. Passed Auntie Bersih in front of Kota Raya otw to Central Market.

4 sekawan. Well, not really. Haha.. Ming Wai came alone and joined us at Central Market.. but the four of us stuck together for the entire rally. This was taken opposite Sogo, and the Bandaraya station was just down the road. It was about 3.20pm cos I remember thinking that the march would be over soon and we could just hop on the train back. But the station was crowded and so we walked around a bit. That was when we came face to face with the FRU and their their gas (pic in the blog below).

Met up with David, Melissa (behind the camera) and MJ at Central Market..  it was their second Bersih outing.. they are one very zealous family. :) MJ marched with his teachers, and the six of us walked together for a stretch, but separated at Leboh Ampang.

Along J. Tun Perak, underneath the Star LRT track.. it was hot, but the general atmosphere was good. It was the closest we got to Dataran Merdeka (it's probably about 500m down this direction). There were a lot of people and very little shade, so we decided to just keep on walking, and walking, and walking.

there were balloons floating about, mostly yellow, some green.. i remarked to jazz "best concert ever!!"
coldplay, anyone? :)

People mountain, people sea. At Central Market, around 1pm.

More people mountain, more people sea. At Leboh Ampang, probably around 2pm.
